Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Class A Driver to safely transport and deliver roll-off dumpsters to customer locations and take full dumpsters to local landfills for disposal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick-Up and Delivery: Transport roll-off dumpsters to and from customer locations as per schedule, ensuring timely deliveries and pick-ups using a 1-ton dually truck and roll-off gooseneck trailer.

• Transportation to Landfills: Safely drive roll-off trucks to local landfills to dispose of waste in compliance with local regulations.

• Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.

• Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional manner, providing assistance with any inquiries related to service or delivery.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, and disposal receipts. Ensure all required paperwork is completed properly and on time.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety policies, to ensure safe operation of vehicles and the safety of others on the road.

• Waste Disposal: Ensure that waste is disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.

• Equipment Handling: Safely load and unload dumpsters, ensuring the proper handling of equipment at all times.

• Route Optimization: Use GPS or route planning software to optimize routes for efficiency and fuel savings.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience:
   

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a CDL Class A vehicle.

  • Previous experience with roll-off trucks or waste management is a plus.

  • Experience hauling with a 1-ton dually truck and gooseneck trailer preferred.

• Licenses/Certifications:
   

  • Valid CDL Class A driver’s license.

  • Clean driving record with no major violations.

  • Ability to obtain any required local or state-specific endorsements.

• Skills/Abilities:
   

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks, including securing loads.

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.

• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items as necessary to perform job duties.

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
